Come sing with us!

Joining the Wasatch Chorale does require an audition, but it's a fairly painless process. Auditions can be scheduled at the beginning of each season in August or mid-season in January. Tenors and Basses are specifically encouraged to audition (including women who sing tenor).
We are still seeking those who sing Tenor and Bass, including women who sing Tenor, for the choir. Auditions have been extended for another week or two (Sept. 20, 2023) if you sing in this range. If you are interested, please fill out an audition application at https://tinyurl.com/WCAudition. The Soprano and Alto sections have been filled and the next opportunity to try out for these sections will be in January 2024.

FAQs
What happens during an audition?
In your audition, your vocal range will be tested to see which section is best for you. Next you will sing either a prepared piece or a hymn or simple song of your choice. Then you'll do a little sight-reading, and you're done!
Can I watch one of your rehearsals before auditioning?
Yes. We rehearse Wednesday nights during our season (see the next answer) from 7-9 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Provo Community Church. Come watch a rehearsal and get to know us!
How much time is required to be in the choir?
The season runs from late August to late May, with a hiatus for most of December. There are about 4-5 concerts each season. Rehearsals are every Wednesday night from 7-9 p.m. at Provo Community Church, and attendance is required to participate in the concerts.
What are the costs to be in the choir?
Membership tuition is $120 each season; $60 if you join mid-season. You also need a performance outfit, which is about $100, but if you have clothing that matches the group then you might not need to buy the full ensemble. Choir members do not need to pay for music, with the possible exception of the Masterwork score.
