Joining the Wasatch Chorale does require an audition, but it's a fairly painless process. Auditions for our 2025-2026 season are now taking place at the Provo Community Congregational United Church of Christ, 175 N. University Avenue, Provo.

What happens during an audition?
In your audition, your vocal range will be tested to see which section is best for you. Next you will sing either a prepared piece, hymn, or My Country 'Tis of Thee. Then you'll be asked to sight read a few lines of music, and you're done!
Can I watch one of your rehearsals before auditioning?
Yes. We rehearse Wednesday nights during our season (late August through May) from 7-9 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Provo Community Congregational United Church of Christ. Come watch a rehearsal and get to know us!
How much time is required to be in the choir?
The season runs from late August to late May. There are about 5-6 concerts each season. Rehearsals are every Wednesday night from 7-9 p.m. at Provo Community Church, and attendance is required to participate in the concerts.
What are the costs to be in the choir?
Membership tuition is $120 each season; $60 if you join mid-season. You also need concert attaire, which is about $100, but if you have clothing that matches the group then you might not need to buy the full ensemble. Choir members do not need to pay for music, with the possible exception of the Masterwork score.
