Dyanne Riley a native of San Diego, CA, earned her B.A. with Distinction in
Music, from San Diego State University. Her Masters of Music is from Brigham
Young University. In the 2004-05 season, she became the Associate Director,
and since the 2005-06 season, has been the Artistic Director of the Wasatch
Chorale.
Before moving to Utah, Dyanne taught High School Choral music in San Diego.
She has been teaching at Utah Valley State College since January of 1994.
She is currently the Director of Choral Activities at UVSC, conducting both
auditioned choirs, and teaches voice, advanced music theory, advanced choral
conducting and several other courses. In 1998-99 and 2002-03, she received
the teacher of excellence award for the school of HASS at UVSC.
Dyanne was a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir from 1995-2005, and
from 2002 to 2007 was the Vocal Specialist for the Training School on Temple
Square, training the new members coming into the Tabernacle Choir. She
often gives choral workshops locally and out-of-state, in schools and
churches.
Dyanne and her husband, Mike, live in Provo and have 5 children and 14
grandchildren. In the summer she holds a week long “Cousins Music Camp” for
their grandchildren. She also enjoys quilting, tatting and playing the
harp.
